About Betts Law Group
Justice for the Injuries You Can’t See
“Tom and his team did a fantastic job leading and guiding me throughout the entire settlement process. It was extremely seamless and they were transparent about everything. They were informative and had all the answers to every question I had for them regarding our case.”

Our California Legal Team
At Betts Law Group, we stand with people whose lives have been disrupted by injury, harassment, or abuse of power. Our clients include professional athletes whose injuries have remained, employees who faced discrimination or retaliation at work, and survivors of sexual assault seeking justice.
We know these cases demand more than legal skill. They require compassionate counsel, clear strategy, and relentless advocacy. For us, that means showing up prepared, staying engaged, and following through until the work is done. That’s why we’ve built a practice focused on listening closely to your story, protecting your rights, and pursuing accountability with focus and care.
Our firm combines years of litigation experience with a deep commitment to helping clients reclaim their voices. When you choose Betts Law Group, you’re choosing a team that will treat your case with urgency and respect.
We’ll keep you informed at every step, explain your options clearly, and stand by your side until the fight is finished.
We handle cases on a contingency-fee basis. That means you do not pay legal fees unless we recover compensation for you. No recovery, no fee.

Our Team
Founders Tom and Whitney Betts built Betts Law Group on a shared belief that the law can be both powerful and personal. Together, they bring complementary experience and perspective: Tom from years inside the insurance industry representing professional sports teams, and Whitney from her trauma-informed work with survivors of assault and discrimination. Their partnership is rooted in compassion, precision, and purpose: helping clients take back control when life feels unrecognizable.
Tom Betts
Co-Founder & CEO
Tom Betts represents professional athletes in workers’ compensation and cumulative trauma claims, using his insider knowledge of the insurance system to advocate for the players it often overlooks. Known for his straightforward communication and tireless work ethic, Tom approaches each case with honesty and focus—making sure clients know exactly where they stand and what to expect. Away from the office, he’s a husband, father, and Little League coach who believes in teamwork on and off the field. Clients value Tom’s responsiveness and follow-through. He keeps people informed, answers questions directly, and stays engaged from intake through resolution.
A certified Rape Crisis Counselor, Whitney Betts has devoted her career to helping survivors of sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination seek justice with dignity. She leads her practice with empathy and strength, making sure every client feels heard and supported. Whitney’s background in both defense and plaintiff-side litigation gives her a nuanced understanding of how institutions operate—and how to hold them accountable. Her trauma-informed approach defines Betts Law Group’s culture of care, compassion, and relentless advocacy. Whitney prioritizes consistent communication, making sure clients always know where their case stands and never feel left in the dark.
